Credit Dispute Resolution

Credit dispute resolution in Kenya is guided by the Banking (Credit Reference Bureau) Regulations, 2020. The process begins when a borrower contacts the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) to report any inaccurate information. The CRB then engages the data-providing institution to investigate the matter within a set timeframe. If the issue remains unresolved, the borrower has the right to have a statement of dispute appended to their credit report.
